Aceh - Rumoh Geudong became a military concentration camp as well as a sattis post (for community monitoring) for Kopassus troops when Aceh was labeled a Military Operations Area (DOM) in 1989-1998. His mission at that time was to hunt down the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) troops who wanted to separate Aceh from Indonesia.
This house is located in Gampong Bilie, Aron Settlement, Glumpang Tiga District, Pidie, Aceh. It is only 100 meters from the Banda Aceh-Medan National Road.

It has been two decades since violence and massacres have occurred in Rumoh Geudong. However, the case, which is considered a gross violation of human rights, is still being processed at the paper level, and has not yet reached justice for the victim.
